Sofiene Ben Kaab is a research assistant within the APEO team. He is working on the mode(s)of action of essential oils on weeds. He got his PhD in biological engineering and agronomical sciences from the Integrated and Urban Plant Pathology Laboratory of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (University of Liège, Belgium) in 2020.Through his doctoral research, he managed a multidisciplinary project that aimed to develop a new bioherbicide based on plant extracts. The results of his thesis were valued by several scientific publications and an international patent. He joined the Brussels school of management in order to succeed the transition between academic and entrepreneurial worlds.
